Comment: That's a smallie. It's really amazing how overlooked that place is and how many species there are. You can get stripers, white cats, channel cats, carp, lmb, smb, white and yellow perch, eels all at the same time of year. keep a rod baited with the bait runner on while you fish for bass and you may be surprised.

Comment: Those fish were caught on the actual river. I've caught them in the canal as well. Go every week it's flowing and I'm rarely skunked. Mostly little fish, but more fun than laying on the sofa

Comment: The problem with this entire stretch of the Charles is that it's really hard to locate the fish. They do get big, and you can catch all sorts of species, but if you are just fishing from the shore, it can get real frustrating!

Comment: Are you fishing that little enclosed area of the river...or the actual river itself? I drive by there all the time...that is primary carping water, supposedly.
