If your boat doesn't have a built in live well, here's an easily made one that I use. Buy a small bilge pump and some 1/2" pvc tubing, an elbow, and a cap. Cut a short piece of tubing to attach to the discharge of the bilge pump, add the elbow, and then another piece of pvc pipe about 3" shorter than the inside of the lid of your cooler. Then add the cap to the pvc tubing, drill a few holes around the edge of the cap. I then soldered a cigarette lighter type plug on the wires from the bilge pump. I have several 12 volt power strips iin my boat that I purchased from auto parts stores that have 3 or 4 lighter type recepticals in the power strip, then I just plug in the bilge pump to aerate the water in the live well. The water squirts out of the holes around the pvc cap and sprays over the water surface in the live well. I use a frozen gel pack in the cooler water to keep the water in the live well from getting too hot.
