Bassin' @ Neponset
Kevin and I went out to Neponset Reservoir bright and early. Weather was great, water was a bit stained, heavy with vegetation, but fairly calm. Kevin got off to a good start landing a Bass on the shoreline across the dam. I had several bites but couldn't get any good hook-sets. We moved along the islands, Kevin kept catching 'em, along with the other fish species there. We made our way across to the south eastern section of the reservoir where there's a cluster of submerged tree stumps. We both made out well there. Kevin fished much of the prime real-estate (shorelines), while I stuck to the open water. We made out with 14 LMB (Kevin 9 & I 5), 3 Pickerels, and 2 Sunfish.
You're definitely right John, it turned out to be a good time. We were the only people out on the water for the first couple of hours.
MAFF brings people together. Wish I could have been there with you.
Nice day to get out with a fishing buddy...
